Do you offer therapy?We are a Psychiatric office that specializes in medication management. We offer a manual-based cognitive behavioral program for children, teens, and adults through COPE. For more advanced therapies, we do have close partnerships with local therapists that we can refer you to once a diagnostic evaluation is complete and we determine which therapeutic model may suit you best.

What insurances do you take?We are in-network with the following commercial plans: Aetna, BCBS (PPO plans), Cigna, Magellan, United Healthcare/Optum, and Tricare West. What are your cash rates if I don't have insurance?New Patient 60 -minute Psychiatric Evaluations $250. 20 minute follow-up appointments $150. We also offer an income based sliding scale.

Do I have to stay on medications forever?Each medication plan is individualized and tailored to your specific needs and timeframes. Many times, medications can be used to help reduce symptoms of the illness so that lifestyle changes or therapy can help you reach recovery. When symptoms are in remission, your provider will assist you in making the decision of whether to wean off medications or continue.

Do all psychiatric medications cause weight gain?No, not all medications cause weight gain. Some medications have a higher risk of weight gain than others, and your provider will discuss all potential side effects with you prior to prescribing them for you.

What are your office hours and how do I contact you after hours?* We are not a crisis center. Please call 911 for emergencies, or 988 for mental health emergencies, or go to the nearest Emergency Department. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday from 830AM to 5pm. What do I do in case of crisis?For emergency situations, please dial 911. For a mental health crisis, please dial 988, or the Maricopa County Crisis line at 602-222-9444. Urgent Psychiatric Center (602) 416-7600 and Mind 24/7 Text/Call 1-844-MIND247 accept walk-ins for Psychiatric emergencies as well as most emergency departments.

What conditions do you diagnose or treat?We offer a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation to help understand how we can improve your quality of life. We treat most mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, stress, OCD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, eating disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, insomnia, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, post-partum conditions. * This is not a comprehensive list. If you have a specific inquiry, please call our office to discuss or schedule a 15-minute free consultation with our provider.

Do you offer in-person or telehealth appointments?We offer in-person services in Surprise, AZ, and we do telehealth as well. Please let the scheduler know which option you prefer when you set up your appointment.

How do I know if I need medications?The decision to take medications is a personal one that is often not an easy choice. We offer a free 15-minute consultation with our provider to help you decide if a Psychiatric evaluation is right for you, and if medications might be able to help you reduce symptoms. You can discuss with your therapist or primary care provider as well who can also refer you to a medication provider.
